One Piece Card Game products are coded by type: OP for main booster sets, EB for Extra Boosters, PRB for Premium Boosters and ST for Starter Decks. The same code starts every card number in that product, so OP17-119 is card 119 from OP-17. The code tells you what kind of product you're buying before you read anything else.

How Card Numbers Work

Every card number starts with the code of the product it first appeared in, followed by its number in that set. OP17-119 is card 119 from OP-17. EB04-061 is card 61 from EB-04 (see our EB-04 Egghead Crisis guide), even if you pull a reprinted version of it from a later product.

Watch out with PRB reprints Premium Booster reprints reuse the original card numbers. That means a PRB version and the original printing can share a number, so grading population reports and sold listings for that number can mix the two. Check the finish and the product before comparing prices.

Which Product Type Is Right for You?

If you want the newest cards and the biggest chase list, buy a main OP set. If a theme appeals to you, such as the series' heroines, an Extra Booster focuses on it. If you want to play straight away with no randomness, a Starter Deck is the place to start. For a deeper comparison, read which Japanese One Piece booster box to buy.
