EB-05 is the second dedicated Heroines Extra Booster — a follow-up to EB-03, one of the most collectable Extra Booster releases the game has produced. The set brings together the most beloved female characters across the entire One Piece series, with Nico Robin as the new Leader card, Shirahoshi as the Manga Alt Art chase, SP treatments for Nami and Robin, and heroine Leader Parallels for seven characters. Shirahoshi EB05-014 is the Manga Alt Art of the set — the headline chase card carrying the treatment that drove EB-03 to its highest-value pulls. The illustration uses a manga-panel background with Shirahoshi in full colour in the foreground, the same contrast approach that made Uta's Manga Alt Art in EB-03 one of the most sought-after cards the Extra Booster line has produced.

Why Shirahoshi is the right chase card Shirahoshi is one of the few major One Piece heroines who has rarely been the centrepiece of a premium TCG product. Her Fish-Man Island arc significance is enormous — she's the Ancient Weapon Poseidon — but her card history is thin compared to Nami, Robin, or Boa Hancock. A Manga Alt Art in EB-05 gives her a marquee moment in the card game, and that rarity combined with character demand is exactly the combination that drove EB-03's highest pulls. The surprise factor here is real: most collectors predicted Nami, Robin, or Hancock for the top slot. Shirahoshi changes the set's identity.

Why EB-05 Is Worth Watching

EB-03 proved that a Heroines-focused Extra Booster can generate serious collector demand — Uta's Manga Alt Art and the SP lineup held strong secondary market interest long after release. EB-05 has a stronger confirmed roster going into launch: seven Heroine Leader Parallels is more than EB-03 had, the SP treatment is now an established visual identity for the line, and Shirahoshi as the Manga Alt Art adds genuine surprise — no one expected her to anchor the set.

The Japanese edition is 6 cards per pack, which means a tighter hit rate across a 24-pack box compared to the English 12-card format. For collectors chasing the Shirahoshi Manga Alt Art or the SP cards in Japanese, boxes are the play — the confirmed character roster is deep enough that even non-chase pulls are desirable for player and collector purposes alike.

The new Heroines anime SP treatment is worth noting separately: the HEROINES banner and script signature on the card face is a design that didn't exist before EB-05. Nami OP01-016 SP is especially significant — a card from the very first set, reprinted in a style that only exists in this product.
