Premium Card Collection 29th Anniversary Edition
Premium Card Collection
29th Anniversary Edition
Luffy in full Elbaf celebration mode — the anniversary card that started as a Weekly Shonen Jump insert and became one of the most sought-after promos of 2026.
On July 13, 2026, Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 33 shipped with a free One Piece Card Game promo tucked inside — the first time in the game's history that a promo card was bundled with the magazine where the manga was born. The card is P-159 Monkey D. Luffy, and we have both versions available at Japanese TCG Supply.
The Card — Two Versions
Both versions share the same card number (P-159), the same artwork, and identical gameplay stats. What separates them is the finish and how they were distributed. The Normal Version is exactly what shipped inside Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 33. The Premium Version carries a special holographic foil treatment and comes exclusively from the Premium Card Collection box.
Card Stats — P-159
P-159 is a playable One Piece Card Game character card, not just a collector piece. It fits directly into competitive Red builds.
The Artwork
The illustration is a direct tribute to the cover of the very first One Piece Magazine from 2017 — Luffy in his Elbaf-era outfit, Viking hornet helmet on his head, devouring an enormous feast at a banquet table. It's pure celebratory energy: not a battle pose, not a dramatic scene, just Luffy being exactly who he is. The "29TH ANNIVERSARY" text is stamped across the top, and the Elbaf setting ties the milestone to the arc that's currently running in the manga.
The choice to echo the One Piece Magazine cover is a deliberate piece of history. That magazine was itself a celebration of the franchise — so this card is a callback to a callback, layering anniversaries on top of each other in a way that rewards long-time fans who recognise the reference.
The Weekly Shonen Jump Connection
One Piece began serialisation in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 1997. Bandai's decision to launch this card specifically through the same magazine is one of the more thoughtful bits of product design the game has produced. Issue 33 of Weekly Shonen Jump shipped on July 13, 2026 — with P-159 tucked inside every copy.
Anticipating enormous demand, Shueisha printed an additional 500,000 copies of that issue beyond their standard print run. The card also had a digital subscriber application route running through Shonen Jump+ and the Zebrak app for Japanese readers who couldn't get to a physical copy in time, running July 6 to August 6.
